We see alot of files from our clients here at InkFX and many times we have to crop the images supplied by our clients. It is always better for you (our clients) to crop your images exactly the right size you want before supplying it to us.
Here’s a little video on Cropping that might help.
Here’s another one below from someone else.
Here’s an Elements 9 Tutorial on using the Crop Tool:
Here’s another Elements 9 Tutorial on using the Crop Tool too! 🙂
Wow! I just realized it’s been waaaay too long since writing a formal update for our blog. So here goes! 🙂
Zac and I recently went down to Melbourne for PacPrint (Printing Trade show) and spent some time checking out all the latest equipment on offer from the various suppliers e.g. Epson, HP, Canon, Fujifilm, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Roland etc etc etc and the brands go on. Our main purpose for being there though was to really check out one of the newest Epson machines that we’re looking at getting for InkFX.
It’s a beast! We spent quite a few hours with the guys at Epson and our trade suppliers running samples and tweeking things to make sure the quality for what we do and for our clients is at it’s best! 🙂 We’re pleased to say that we’re more than thrilled with the results and are hoping to be able to get the machine in the next few weeks.
We actually took a few Canvases down from here that we had already printed on our current printers using the Hahnemuhle Daguerre canvas to compare. The color gamut of the new printers is amazing. Even the 4 color printer results were very impressive. Not quite good enough for what we’re after but good all the same!
We’ll keep you posted on this as to how the acquisition goes though. 🙂
New Products
We’ve added a few new products to our range. Including Rolled Canvases:
We’ve also added ‘Poster Prints‘. They’re suitable for basic posters or large type prints that will either be framed OR laminated. Printed on a high quality Bond (Matte finish).
Here’s a quick Photoshop Video from Julieanne Kost (photoshop guru) on how to crop two images to the exact same size. Hope you like it and make sure to leave a comment below!
We’ve made a few changes to our Pro Photographer program and one of the new changes is a Minimum order size to get your discount. The minimum order amount to get the Pro Discount is $100.
Plus, when we run certain specials that are ‘super special’ there will be no ‘extra’ discount applied. (we have to make sure we stay in business!)
We still include FREE Shipping on All Canvas orders over $100. Nothing has changed there. If you have any questions or feedback let me know.
We’re currently reviewing all the different media types that we offer and we will be removing a number of them. As of tomorrow 22nd April 2013 we will no longer be offering the Moab Exhibition Luster media.
It’s a beautiful paper but the demand has just not been there for it. An alternative to the Exhibition Luster is our 285gsm Luster/Silk Prints.
